Time to put the winter decor away and bring out some fresh touches of spring to the home. See how I've updated my mantel for the season and be inspired by 27 other bloggers sharing their own spring spaces.

SPRING | Published March 19, 2020

It feels so good to be able to add a few spring touches to the house and kiss the winter goodbye.
Putting the warm cozy throws away for something a bit more lightweight. Adding spring flowers. And just plain freshening everything up once again. It has been a very mild season, but nonetheless, I love to see the little hints of the changing weather.

Today I'm joining in with some other very talented ladies to share a simple spring mantel that I designed, and next week I'll post my transition into an Easter theme. The tour is hosted by Kristi of French Creek Farmhouse and links to everyone participating and what they are sharing appear near the end of this post.

My entire mantel was basically planned around my favorite faux purple tulips. They look and feel very much like the real thing. I'm normally a pretty neutral person, but I enjoy adding pops of color like this where I can.

When visiting one of my favorite small shops a few weeks ago, I found this little berry orb and immediately snatched it up knowing it would be another small accent of purple.
I spotted these pretty decorative clay pots at the same store and had to have them as well. I love the artisan look and feel that they have. If you're interested, I did a little searching and found that you can buy a set of six from Amazon.

QUICK TIP: Bring more attention to small decor in a display by elevating the vignette on a vintage book.

A small silver bird to signify the start of spring and a few faux candles and lantern finish off my simple spring mantel. My decorating style is leaning more and more towards displaying less, but at the same time using what I really love. It is really important to style your home in a way that pleases you, regardless of what others are doing or trends that people are following.

I hope that something from my spring mantel has caught your eye or given you an idea of what you can do in your own home this season. If you're looking for more inspiration, be sure to check out the spring vignette I did last year.
