Have you ever thought about how you feel when someone acknowledges your birthday with a card, email, or even just a text? Knowing that they remembered and took time out of their schedule to mention your special day makes you feel all warm and happy inside, doesn't it? We like to be reminded that on at least one day a year we are worth remembering and celebrating.
On the other hand, how do you feel when the realization hits you that you forgot to wish your best friend from high school a happy anniversary? Or that your best friend from high school forgot about yours?

In the fast paced world that we live in, it is becoming easier and easier for the birthdays and anniversaries of friends and family to slip our mind. Not intentionally, of course. But we begin to rely on things like Facebook alerts to keep us up to date on our lives. And believe it or not, there are people who aren't yet on social media.
If you aren't careful, days may pass before you realize that your favorite cousin turned another year older. And let's see a show of hands for those who remembered (or even realized we have) holidays like Grandparent's Day or Boss's Day. While they may not seem important to you, they may be to the person being celebrated.

To make remembering important dates during the year a bit easier, I've created a helpful printable for recording the birthdays and anniversaries that you don't want to forget. Each page also includes some popular (US) holidays and observances, in addition to a interesting fact for each month. (The dates included are for 2017's holidays, but I'll be updating it for 2018 later in the year.)

Keep this perpetual calendar wherever you'll remember to look at it daily, whether it is in the kitchen, on your desk, or next to your bed. With a quick glance, you'll be able to see who has a special day coming up and make note of any cards or gifts that may need to be purchased. That way, you can help someone feel important and loved.....and maybe they will return the favor when your birthday rolls around.
