A little known fact about me is that when I read a book that I'm really enjoying, I read really fast. I'm talking, like I could finish a good book cover to cover in a day or two if given the time. It is like I become so immersed in what is on those pages that I just can't wait to get to the end. I want all the knowledge that those pages can share with me. (On the other hand, if it is a book I can't immediately get into......I will never finish it.)

The problem with reading so quickly, at least with an inspirational/self-help kind of book, is that a lot of opportunity is missed for actually applying what I'm reading. So after a few months, I have to then go back to those books and read them again.....this time slowly, taking in each and every well-planned word. I find that on the second reading, they are still my favorites and I pick up so many more details that were missed the first time around.
This summer, I'm trying to kick back to enjoy as much as I can and spend at least a little time every day reading books that will inspire me. Many of the books I'm picking up are the ones that I've already read and LOVED and I wanted to share those with you today in the hopes that you too can be inspired by my favorites.
