Reloved Magazine

August 24, 2015

Hi guys!  I feel like it has been forever since my last post.  The past few weeks have been the type where you work and work, and then whatever your plan was doesn't turn out right.  When that happens, I've found that it is best to step back, take a deep breath, and slow down long enough to think things through.  And honestly, I'm fine with my original plans not working out on multiple fronts.  There must be a reason, right?

I'll be taking the rest of the week to continue sketching out some new ideas and getting caught up.  The busy season of fall is just around the corner and I'd like to enter it fully prepared.  Is anyone else feeling the pull of autumn?  I'm suddenly in the mood to buy some pumpkins and start cleaning up the flower garden!

I wanted to check in with you today, though, to share some exciting news.

Back in June
when I announced my opportunity with Craftberry Bush, I said that there was other big news that I couldn't share yet.  Now, months later, I'm finally able to share that two of my projects are included in this month's (September) Reloved Magazine!  It is filled with all kinds of unique upcycling ideas for your home.

Emails about both of the opportunities came in the same week and it was so hard keeping them a secret until the time was right to share them.  I wasn't even sure when the magazine would be published.

The projects that were included are two of my all-time favorites.....

My cutting board wall art for the kitchen....

It is so strange to see your own name in print beside something you've created.  I feel incredibly blessed for this feature and the opportunity for a few new people to see my work.

And I'm also really grateful to the Senior Editor, Sally Fitzgerald, for making sure that I could get a copy of the magazine.  Living in a rural area makes it difficult to get lesser-known publications like this and I wasn't sure when I'd be venturing out of town to pick one up.  I'd love to get my hands on a few more copies, but feel better knowing I have at least have one!

Thank you so much for letting me share my news with you.  Have a great week, friends!
