Friday Favorites #19

December 19, 2014

By this time next week, the packages will be unwrapped, the dinner guests will be gone, and the radio will be done playing Christmas carols.  Can you believe it?  We all spend so much time preparing for Christmas and then before you know it, the holiday is over.  I can honestly say that I've tried to slow down and take the season in this year.

Of course, that meant I kind of disappeared from here with any projects or recipes lately.  Believe me....I had plans.  But when it felt like the Christmas season was slipping away from me, I realized I needed to step back and enjoy my life.  There is always next year for those unfinished DIYs and cookies.  (And believe it or not, I already have the ENTIRE Christmas blog season planned for next year.  You'll just have to wait and be surprised!)

In case you missed the announcement yesterday, our Your Turn to Shine party is done for 2014 and will resume January 7 so that everyone can enjoy their holiday.  (By the way, if you haven't had a chance to look at yesterday's post, please do so after you finish today's favorites.  There are really some fantastic Christmas ideas in there!)  I'm also choosing to skip my Friday Favorites post for next Friday as well.

So, that means this is likely the last post for me in 2014.  Tear :)  I can't wait to come back in January with all the projects and ideas that have been rolling around in my head.  Great things are coming!

Enjoy this final week of the holiday, friends.  Sip on a gingerbread cappuccino, drive around and see the Christmas lights, blast some of your favorite holiday tunes.  Remember that Christmas is about way more than accomplishing those last minute holiday plans.  I love you all and hope you have a very merry Christmas!  See you back here in 2015!

I try my best to find images from their original sources to credit the owner of the picture.  Sometimes the picture gets separated from it's source, and without a watermark cannot be traced easily.  If you find something here that belongs to you or someone you know, please email me and I'll be happy to link back to you or remove the image if that is what you would like.
