Inspiration is Everywhere

August 12, 2013

Sunday will be the three month "anniversary" of the date I started blogging and I have to say that I am thoroughly enjoying it.  I'm loving that I can share my projects, ideas, and recipes with you in that hopes that you'll be inspired to try something on your own.  When you share you comments and send me emails, I know that I'm doing exactly what I should be doing.

For many, many years I've dreamed about having a creative "job", where I could use my skills and talents, combined with my passion and desire to make something.  I may never make a living from my blog or the products I sell, but the satisfaction that I'm getting from actually DOING something I've dreamed about is worth more than money.

Although I'm loving it, blogging can be difficult.  Coming up with ideas isn't hard for me....I have pages of things I'd love to share with you.  My problem is that I feel what I post should be something that I set aside special time to do....a new furniture project, a recipe that I take special time to make.  With work and everyday life, it is hard to find time to do more than I'm already doing.  And I hate the idea of putting a post out there that is rushed or uninspiring.

It hit me the other day that it can be just as inspiring if I blog about my everyday life....what I'm making for dinner....what I'm doing to fix up the I'm organizing my space.

There are particular blogs that I love because the life of the blogger seems so inspiring.....Everyday seems to have something special about it.  I dream of having a life that is that "put together."  There is not a reason why my live can't be like that, too.

I found this quote on Google and think it sums up what I'm trying to say perfectly.  My life is full of inspiration that I can share with you.  I just have to open up my eyes and realize it.  The blogger's I find inspiring are that way because they are being themselves.  They aren't trying to "create" a life to promote on their blog.   They are being "real."  From today on, I am going to do my best to just put my real life on this blog.   You probably won't even notice a change, but I will because I won't feel so rushed trying to basically live two is hard enough!

I'm also going to try my best to blog about something everyday....not a project, decorating idea, or recipe each day, but there will be something to inspire you.  I know how much I anxiously anticipate what my favorite bloggers are going to share everyday, and I'm sure you are the same way.  It's always nice to go to your favorites and see something new during the week.

So that is what you have to look forward to after my aha moment.....Remember, we ALL have inspiring things that happen each day, whether we realize it or not....we just have to keep our eyes open.

More tomorrow!
